A quote by Les Brown on Fate is the topic of this blog post.
“Just because Fate doesn’t deal you the right cards, it doesn’t mean you should give up. It just means you have to play the cards you get to their maximum potential.” Les Brown
“I have been playing poker for many years so I can appreciate this quote as Fate can deal you some bad hands in both poker and in life. When it comes to your own life you have to play the cards that you get as best as you can as and do all that you can with what you have to work with. I know for a fact that I have never heard of anyone who had Fate deal them a better hand. I have heard of many people who played the cards that they received as best as they could and have been very successful. In the end all anyone can do is play the cards that Fate deals to you as best as you can and as far as I am concerned that beats giving up any day. You cannot win at either poker or life if you do not stay in the game. My philosophy is that as long as I know in your heart that I did the best that I could taking into consideration the circumstances there is no need to feel either guilt or shame. I know that in my own life just over 4 years ago that the cards that Fate had dealt to me were the worst possible cards. I dug deep into myself and found the courage and motivation to play the cards that I was dealt as well as I possibly could and I now have a viable and growing business that is supporting me and my wife and I feel like I have been given a second chance in life.” Stan Burman
