Quote by Bill Gates on General Motors

A quote by Bill Gates on General Motors is the topic of this blog post.

“If GM had kept up with technology like the computer industry has, we would all be driving $25 cars that got 1,000 MPG.” Bill Gates

“I totally agree with this quote by Bill Gates. It is my personal opinion that the reason that GM has not kept up with technology is because they have little real competition as there are not that many large automakers out there. In contrast the computer industry has fierce competition in most areas. And that competition is the main reason for the amazing breakthroughs that have been accomplished with computers. It is truly astounding when you compare the computer industry to the automobile industry.  The computer industry wins hands down for delivering a much more usable product that is also surprisingly affordable.” Stan Burman
