Quote by Harvey Mackay on arrogance

A quote by Harvey Mackay on arrogance is the topic of this blog post

“By my count, more business leaders have failed and derailed because of arrogance than any other character flaw.” Harvey Mackay

“This is yet another great quote by Harvey Mackay. Arrogance is probably responsible for the downfall of more people such as business leaders and politicians than any other character flaw. I truly believe that arrogance at its core demonstrates not only a false sense of superiority but also an appalling lack of self esteem.  Let’s face it no person with true self esteem would destroy their lives and careers through arrogance. I have found in my own experience that arrogant people almost without exception exhibit other character flaws including ignorance, a lack of compassion or lack of integrity to name just a few. Honestly speaking I cannot stand to deal with arrogant people and have to admit that I feel a certain personal thrill whenever I hear of some arrogant person getting their just rewards.   Arrogance is not the same as confidence although some people tend to confuse the two.” Stan Burman
