Quote by Confucius on courage

“Faced with what is right, to leave it undone shows a lack of courage.” Confucius

“To do what is right not only shows courage but it also shows virtue as well.   Confucius is absolutely correct that anyone who deliberately fails to do what is right in a particular situation is showing a lack of courage, and in my personal opinion they are also showing a lack of virtue as well.  True courage requires doing what is right whenever possible not just when it is convenient or someone else is looking.” Stan Burman

Quote by Confucius on the meaning of true knowledge

A quote by Confucius on true knowledge is the topic of this blog post.

“To know what you know and what you do not know, that is true knowledge.” Confucius

“This is an awesome quote by Confucius that cannot be denied by any rational thinking person. The truth of this quote should be self-evident to everyone but I am always surprised how many people either do not understand this timeless truth or simply choose to ignore it. I know from long and hard experience in the school of hard knocks that it is not so much what you do not know that will cause you to have problems but it is what you think you know but in reality do not know.” Stan Burman

Quote by Confucius on the meaning of our greatest glory

A quote by Confucius on the meaning of our greatest glory is the topic of this blog post.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall.”  Confucius

“This is an excellent quote by Confucius that is not only undeniably true but is a great example of another timeless truth. I know that in my personal opinion the person who has risen every time they have fallen deserves more glory than the person who has never fallen. I believe that the great majority of every other person alive today or that has ever lived feels or felt the same way.” Stan Burman

Quote by Confucius on diligence

A quote by Confucius on diligence is the topic of this blog post.

“The expectations of life depend upon diligence; the mechanic that would perfect his work must first sharpen his tools.” Confucius

“Confucius lived over 2000 years ago. Yet this great quote still rings true today. Diligence is just as important today as it was in his time. I know that without diligence I could never have achieved the level of success that I have right now. Just over 5 years ago I was living in a very stressful environment and seemed to be facing adversity at every turn. But I dug deep down inside of myself and diligently acted on a business opportunity that I stumbled upon one day and I have continued to be diligent and I know in my heart that is one of the major reasons that I have an online business that can comfortably support me.” Stan Burman

Quote by Confucius on wisdom

A quote by Confucius on wisdom is the topic of this blog post.

“By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.” Confucius

“That quote is as true today as when Confucius first spoke it. I know of only one advantage to learning wisdom by experience and that is that it is very hard to forget the wisdom that you have learned from experience although Confucius is right in that it is the bitterest way to learn wisdom. But I do have to admit that learning wisdom by experience also known as the school of hard knocks is that it leaves the strongest impression on you such that you will never forget your experience as long as you live.” Stan Burman

Quote by Confucius on sorrow

A quote by Confucius on sorrow is the topic of this blog post.

“We should feel sorrow, but not sink under its oppression.” Confucius

“Confucius was a very wise man as you can tell from this quote. Obviously it is normal and healthy to feel sorrow, even therapeutic at times but letting the sorrow linger in your mind will in fact cause you to sink.  I completely agree with Confucius in that I believe that you should express the sorrow in your own way, acknowledge it and its intensity and not try to stop yourself from feeling it.  Let the sorrow run its course but do not give it any more power than it really has. Sorrow is an emotion and a perfectly natural one but you should not allow it to overwhelm you. I know from my own personal experience from several years ago when I was feeling a lot of sorrow over my life situation. I did not attempt to deny my sorrow instead I acknowledged it and allowed myself to feel it as much as I could. Once I did that I began to start feeling better after a short period of time.” Stan Burman
